The CrossFit Open at CrossFit Structure 2026

Huge congratulations to everyone who took part in this year’s CrossFit Open.

This year’s Intramural competition and Friday Night Lights have genuinely been the best we’ve ever had at CrossFit Structure. The energy each week was unreal, and what stood out most was seeing so many newer members stepping up and taking on the Open for the first time. That’s what it’s all about.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who came down to support Friday Night Lights. The atmosphere in the room was electric. From the first heat to the last, people were pushing themselves to their absolute limits, and the support from the sidelines made a massive difference.

And of course… watching our coaches go head-to-head each week was something else. Different strategies, different approaches, but the same intent — to throw down and lead from the front.

The Intramural Teams

Our final standings for 2026 are in…

Taking the win this year is Winner Winner Chicken Dinner, led by Coach Keaton, finishing on a huge 1560 points. Keaton made sure the team spirit was high every single week — and made sure everyone was well fed and well entertained along the way.

In second place, giving it everything right to the end, was Team Fireball, led by Stacey with 1065 points. If you’ve ever been in a class with Stacey, you’ll know — that energy she brings isn’t just for the Open… it’s all year round.

And in a very close third, Collectively Loaded, led by Becs with 930 points. Becs — the pink, shiny magnet — we hope you’re all still proudly rocking those pink sweatbands.

What’s Next…

For some of you, the season isn’t over yet.

The top 25% of athletes worldwide will move on to the Quarterfinals. If you’ve made that cut, you’ll receive an email from CrossFit with your invitation to compete.

Just like the Open, you can still take on the workouts without officially entering. But if you want your name on the global leaderboard and to see how you stack up, you’ll need to register.

Invites go out on Monday 23rd March, with workouts taking place between 26th–30th March.

We’ll share a full plan for how we’ll run this at CrossFit Structure as soon as workouts are released, but where possible, we’ll look to align class programming so you can take part within sessions.

Personal Weaknesses

This is where the real value of the Open lies.

Every year, the Open has a way of exposing the things we’re not quite as good at. That might be gymnastics, mobility, strength, or even just confidence in certain movements.

Classes will always move you forward, no question. But if you really want to improve something specific, it needs a bit more intent.

Take double unders as an example. They didn’t show up this year — but I’d be very surprised if they don’t next year. There’s only so much time in a class setting to really break things down and build mastery, so sometimes the best thing you can do is carve out a small window for yourself.

Five minutes, once or twice a week, before or after class. That’s often all it takes to start making real progress.

We’ve already seen a number of you getting stuck into this over the past week, which is great to see.

And if you’re not sure where to start, or you want to fast-track your progress, our coaches are available for 30-minute 1-1 skill sessions. Sometimes a bit of focused time and guidance is all you need to unlock that next level.

Don’t wait until this time next year to work on your weaknesses. If you want to book a goal review to discuss your CrossFit Open and plan for the year ahead, just reach out. Message or email us to get booked in!
