What to Expect in Your First Month at CrossFit Structure (Newmarket’s Most Supportive Gym)

Thinking about joining CrossFit, but not sure what to expect?

You’re not alone — most people who join CrossFit Structure haven’t done anything like this before. And many are nervous.
That’s totally normal — and it’s exactly why we’ve designed your first month to help you feel supported, not overwhelmed.

Here’s what your journey could look like in your first few weeks with us.


Week 1–2: 1-1 Onboarding & Your InBody Starting Point

Your first step is booking a Free No Sweat Intro — a relaxed, no-obligation chat with one of our coaches. We’ll talk about your goals, your background, and any aches, injuries or worries you’re carrying with you.

From there, most members complete four 1-1 onboarding sessions with a coach over their first two weeks. These are fully tailored to you — we’ll teach you how to move safely, help you build confidence, and address any specific limitations or goals.

You’ll also be offered an InBody scan during onboarding — a powerful body composition analysis that shows muscle mass, fat mass, and water retention.
It’s your line-in-the-sand starting point, so we can track your progress again in 3 months and celebrate real, measurable change.

Tailored to You — Always

The 1-1 sessions and group classes are our typical route — but it’s not one-size-fits-all.

Some people choose to do more 1-1s before transitioning to group classes. Others prefer to stick with personal training long-term, or mix 1-1 sessions and classes every month for ongoing support.

If you’re also including nutrition coaching, you’ll begin weekly Zoom calls with Katie, our in-house dietitian. These calls will guide you through simple, sustainable changes that work alongside your training — no fads, no nonsense.


Week 3: Starting Classes — On Your Terms

In Week 3, most members begin stepping into our CrossFit classes. These aren’t like the scary videos you’ve seen online.

Every workout is coached from start to finish. Everything is scaled. And no one expects you to “keep up” — because every workout is adjusted for your level.

You’ll be encouraged, supported, and guided through each session with care and attention. You’ll also notice the people around you are kind, welcoming, and genuinely rooting for each other.

No cliques. No egos. Just a group of people working to feel better and get stronger.

Week 4: Confidence, Consistency & Small Wins

By the end of your first month, you’ll already feel a shift — more energy, better movement, improved sleep, or just that feeling of finally doing something for you.

You’ll know how to train smart. You’ll know how to progress at your own pace. And you’ll know there’s a whole team here ready to support you — in class, in coaching, and in life outside the gym too.
