When most people think about personal training, they picture one-to-one sessions with a coach—focused, effective, but often costly. On the other end of the spectrum, you’ve got group classes—fun, motivating, and affordable, but less tailored to the individual.
At CrossFit Structure, we’ve found a way to bridge the gap: semi-private training. It’s a powerful mix of the personal attention you get in PT, combined with the energy and support you find in small-group training.
And the best part? It’s launching this September right here at CrossFit Structure.
What is Semi-Private Training?
Semi-private training is a small-group training format where a coach works with up to four people per session. You’ll get your own programme, tailored to your goals, but you’ll be training alongside others in the same session.
Think of it like this: you’re getting 80–90% of the personalisation and coaching that you would in one-to-one personal training—but for a fraction of the price.
Instead of paying £50–£60 per hour for traditional PT, semi-private training at CrossFit Structure is just £40 per session (or £172 per month for one session per week).
Why It Works So Well
We’ve already seen the benefits of this style in our Friday night clinics. For example, members came in with the same goal of improving their squat—but each required something different to correct it. One was twisting in the squat, so we worked on getting the right core muscles firing to stabilise the movement. Another had mobility issues in the ankles and knees, so we identified the muscles that weren’t activating properly and helped increase their range of motion.
Instead of giving everyone the exact same drill, the coach set each person up with what they needed. The atmosphere was supportive, motivating, and fun. You’re never waiting around, but you’re also never lost in the crowd. And most importantly—you leave feeling like the session was built for you.
This hybrid approach means you get:
- Personalisation: Your own programme, tailored to your body, goals, and abilities.
- Coaching Attention: Direct feedback and guidance, without competing for attention in a big group.
- Motivation & Accountability: Training alongside others keeps the energy high and the consistency strong.
- Cost-Effectiveness: PT-quality training at a more affordable price point.
Who is Semi-Private Training For?
Semi-private training is perfect if:
- You want faster results than group training alone can give.
- You’ve got specific goals—like building strength, improving technique, or overcoming pain and imbalances.
- You want the accountability and structure of a programme designed for you.
- You enjoy training alongside others but don’t want to get lost in the shuffle of a bigger class.
Whether you’re brand new and want extra support, or you’ve been training for years and want to push past a plateau, semi-private training adapts to where you are right now.
When and Where?
We’re kicking things off with two weekly sessions:
- Wednesdays at 8am
- Thursdays at 1pm
Each session is capped at just four people. That means spaces are very limited—and once they’re gone, they’re gone.
We’ll be adding more times as demand grows, but if you want to be part of the first wave, now’s the time to lock in your spot.
